Our Trainers

Jeremy Criscoe-Director of Training / Head Trainer

For nearly 20 years Jeremy has been breeding and training Labrador Retrievers for professional gundog programs and as personal outdoor companions all over the United States.

The passion began while Jeremy was serving in the US Navy as a Rescue Swimmer. In his off time, he began learning and training with dual purpose Labrador Retrievers in the show ring and in the field for AKC hunt tests.

After an honorable discharge, and finishing his 5-year commitment to the military, Jeremy entered the professional realm of dog training. While employed with his first full-time dog training facility he also started guiding duck hunts in the Mississippi Delta. He worked with his clients, teaching and instructing them how to handle the dog on their first hunts. Jeremy also traveled to the Dakotas and other western states to guide clients on wild quail and pheasant hunts. It was during this time when he realized that a good training method, combined with a dog from a good pedigree, would allow even the novice client to handle their own dog on the hunts.

While working with other trainers and kennels, Jeremy also became involved with service detection programs. He continues to enjoy learning new skills and methodologies from all walks of animal training. Jeremy also designed a puppy socialization program at Auburn University.

Before Jeremy started with us he worked with Blackwater Kennels – VA and Wildrose Kennels – MS (Orvis Endorsed Dog Breeder).  He also managed his own kennel and training center (Whistling Wings Kennel – AL). Jeremy brings a wealth of experience with him and we are proud to welcome him to the Blue Cypress Kennels Team!

Noah Stapler- Assistant Dog Trainer / Hunt Guide

Noah Stapler began his apprenticeship under Jeremy Criscoe in 2016 in North Alabama. With a specialty of facilitating the young dog program, he began his career while he was a senior in high school working with the DECCA program as he worked on his education and building his skills for training canines the other half of the day.

Currently continuing his education in the Animal Science industry, he brings another level to the Blue Cypress training program. Allowing for all dogs to learn with multiple handlers and also creating the focus on the young dog building blocks as Jeremy adds the finishing touches to some of the leading imported labrador retrievers currently in the United States.
